📋 Description

• Serve as the strategic focal for engineering tools and software across Military Engineering Sciences • Develop and maintain the tools/software roadmap • Partner with engineering leaders, users, Digital Technology, cybersecurity, quality, sourcing, and program teams to identify gaps and priorities • Coordinate tool selection, deployment, enhancement, sustainment, and retirement • Translate business and technical requirements into development or implementation plans • Drive standardization and harmonization of tools, processes, and usage practices • Support software governance, licensing, access, compliance, export control awareness, and configuration/change management • Monitor tool performance, user adoption, pain points, and value realization; define and track metrics • Facilitate communication between end users and tool owners to resolve issues and elevate risks • Support training, documentation, standard work, and change management • Coordinate tools supporting technical reviews, analyses, data management, reporting, and execution • Prepare leadership updates, status reports, business cases, and recommendations for engineering software/tools investments • Apply SQDC prioritization within leader standard work • Develop KPIs and action plans for tool performance and adoption • Coach structured problem-solving and continuous improvement activities • Go to Genba to learn user needs, observe tool usage, and identify improvement opportunities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field from an accredited university or college • Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering tools, software applications, digital enablement, or technical program/project leadership • Must obtain and maintain U.S. Government Security Clearance • U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite for security clearance • Experience in aerospace, defense, or highly regulated engineering environments • Experience with NPSS, Matlab, Python, and Git • Familiarity with engineering tool ecosystems such as analysis tools, requirements tools, PLM, data management, modeling/simulation, or workflow automation platforms • Experience working across cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment • Ability to translate business needs into tool or software requirements • Experience with project planning, prioritization, risk management, and stakeholder communication • Ability to influence without direct authority and drive alignment across organizations • Must meet U.S. Person status requirements for access to export-controlled information • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
