📋 Description

• Develop and maintain clean, scalable features in Node.js, JavaScript frameworks, and MSSQL • Architect and integrate RESTful services and microservices following SOA principles • Perform peer code reviews for quality, security, and maintainability • Collaborate with Product, QA, and engineering teams to clarify requirements, troubleshoot, and refine features • Build AI-powered features and take ownership of AI feature work on the product roadmap • Use AI tooling to improve development speed and productivity • Deploy and monitor applications using Docker and AWS • Establish sound deployment and monitoring practices • Champion best practices, share knowledge, propose improvements, and refine internal processes • Analyze system performance, diagnose bottlenecks, and implement optimizations • Independently deliver meaningful customer-facing features to production • Join the on-call rotation and resolve production issues • Own a service or domain area, including reliability and roadmap input • Improve tooling, tests, documentation, AI workflows, latency, deploy time, flaky tests, or defect escape rate • Participate in hiring-manager and team evaluation conversations

🎯 Requirements

• 4–7 years of relevant experience in software engineering roles • At least 2 years hands-on building production-grade applications in Node.js • 3+ years of hands-on Node.js experience • Proficiency with Node.js, JavaScript and/or relevant frameworks, MSSQL, Docker, and AWS • TypeScript experience is a plus • Demonstrated professional experience using AI-assisted development tools as part of a regular workflow • Experience shipping LLM-powered product features is strongly preferred • Experience using Claude Code, Codex, or similar tools for multi-file refactors, migrations, and test coverage • Ability to maintain context files, rules, and prompts for team-wide AI tooling • Experience shipping LLM-backed features and handling nondeterministic tests, token costs, latency, and data guardrails • Ability to evaluate AI feature quality and determine when not to use a model • Familiarity with REST/SOA principles and microservice architectures • Proficiency with GitHub, including branching, merging, code reviews, and pull requests • Ability to design REST APIs • Ability to write secure, maintainable, well-documented code • Ability to collaborate with product managers, developers, QA, and engineering leadership • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field preferred, not required • Must be authorized to work in the United States; student visas and sponsorship are not accepted • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods • Ability to work at a computer for prolonged periods • Employment may be contingent upon a background check and other pre-employment screenings
