• Provide leadership, strategic direction, and resource management for a technical team supporting GVH on BWRX-300 SMR mechanical component design • Lead mechanical component design for the Reactor Building • Ensure designs meet safety, regulatory, and performance standards • Develop the team’s technical and leadership talent and depth • Oversee hiring, training, mentoring, performance, and evaluations • Plan, organize, and manage technical activities supporting engineering deliverables, including large equipment/component design and qualification • Make decisions and handle complex operational, product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering tasks • Support performance and program management of assigned work and ensure on-time engineering commitments • Build relationships with engineering managers, business leaders, project managers, and stakeholders • Interface with external partners, customers, the NRC, and applicable country-specific regulatory agencies on technical issues • Manage internal and external resources to ensure deliverable quality, flexibility, and improved cost positions • Support commercial and marketing opportunities and develop new business opportunities • Protect GVH intellectual property rights • Support GVH initiatives, process improvement, and simplification • Support quality requirements, participate in design reviews, and initiate and respond to Corrective Actions
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering Discipline (Mechanical, Nuclear or similar) from an accredited college or University • Minimum 10 years of experience in technology or engineering role • 3 years of experience Leading or Managing an Engineering Team • Ability and willingness to travel to domestic and international sites occasionally (up to 5 to 10%) • Role restricted to U.S. persons, including U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) • Ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information, if applicable • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable • Proven interpersonal and leadership skills • Ability to think strategically, be creative and move quickly • Ability to lead a team of highly experienced engineers and balance multiple demands and priorities • Demonstrated ability to deliver results while promoting strong team performance • Project management skills including communication, risk, planning/scheduling, and change management • Knowledge of working within a regulated environment and/or power plant • Knowledge of quality standards and systems such as NQA-1 and ISO 9000 • Understanding of nuclear industry and technology • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong customer mindset • Ability to work to tight deadlines and cope under pressure
