📋 Description

• Lead technical development, accuracy and uncertainty qualification, testing, verification, regulatory licensing, and maintenance of analytical methods for steady-state and transient nuclear reactor core/fuel performance • Develop and maintain methods involving neutron transport, cross section generation, and related code • Support software documentation and validation, user training, and customer interfacing for LANCR lattice physics codes and the PANAC 3D core simulator • Prepare, document, and present technical data to internal and external customers • Lead and contribute to team process improvements • Communicate with internal and external users through support, documentation, and training • Ensure work complies with NRC rules and regulations, customer requirements, and business quality assurance standards • Coordinate engineering and technical activities with team members • Support the technical leader and functional manager in planning, status reporting, and project execution • Support interfaces with regulatory agencies including NRC and DOE • Contribute to development, maintenance, analytics, technical consultation, and licensing stewardship of engineering computer codes, correlations, and methodologies for BWRs and SMRs

🎯 Requirements

• Programming experience with Fortran and Python • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computational methods, nuclear engineering, or a closely related technical discipline and minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; OR Master’s degree and minimum of 3 years; OR Ph.D. with a thesis in the relevant area and minimum of 1 year • Experience in nuclear methods development, neutron transport, lattice physics, or nuclear cross section generation • Ability to work within an approved regulatory framework for nuclear software quality assurance • Ability to prepare, document, and present technical data to internal and external customers • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process skills • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work in a team • Honest and straightforward with a high level of personal integrity • Detail oriented and accountable for results • Strong drive for continuous improvement • Access to U.S. export-controlled information may require authorization from the U.S. Government • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
