📋 Description

• Support Project Management and Technical Leaders with cybersecurity requirements for Substation Automation projects • Define, design, and implement cybersecurity requirements for substation automation systems • Serve as technical authority for basic and detailed design phases • Deliver technical execution for substation LAN networks and ensure cybersecurity compliance • Design architectures encompassing protection relays, bay controller units, auxiliary relays, industrial computers, synchronizing clocks, telecom equipment, and software applications • Provide tendering support, design, configuration, FAT, and SAT activities • Present solutions and support demos, pilots, and proof-of-concepts to stakeholders • Create and implement comprehensive substation automation network and cybersecurity designs • Create Functional Design Specifications and define related architectures • Act as point of contact for cybersecurity and networking matters in project environments • Configure cybersecurity devices including switches, routers, and firewalls • Prepare and execute FAT and SAT plans • Review RFQs, identify clarifications and exceptions, prepare reference architectures, and estimate cybersecurity implementation costs • Lead design reviews and customer technical discussions, resolve comments, and drive timely approvals • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and partners for FAT, site issue resolution, snag closure, and SAT • Track progress, control design hours, mitigate execution risks, and support scope and variation order assessments • Represent customer technical requirements in design decisions and align engineering deliverables with business objectives • Ensure adherence to EHS standards and safe work practices

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline from an accredited institution • Minimum 5 years’ experience in design, implementation, testing, troubleshooting, and delivery of OT Networking solutions and Cybersecurity • Minimum 3 years’ experience in substation automation protection and control solutions • Fluent in English • Ability to travel up to 30% across the U.S. and Canada • Strong technical expertise in Substation Automation and protection and control solutions • Knowledge of OT-specific protocols and standards such as Modbus, DNP3, IEC 61850, and OPC • Experience designing and implementing OT security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls • Familiarity with network segmentation techniques and OT security architectures • Knowledge of cybersecurity standards and regulations including IEC 62443, NERC CIP, IEEE 1686, and IEC 62351 • Strong understanding of utility standards and practices • Working knowledge of protection systems and commissioning processes for Substation Automation Systems • Proficiency in project organization, engineering workflows, and execution planning • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Microsoft Office proficiency, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio • Cybersecurity certification and Professional Engineering (PE) license are a plus, not required • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
