📋 Description

• Lead transmission system studies, including load flow, stability, short-circuit, and voltage analysis • Evaluate grid code compliance and renewable energy project impacts on bulk power systems • Perform power system transient studies and develop detailed equipment models • Conduct small-signal stability analyses and recommend mitigation measures • Execute harmonic and power quality studies for transmission, distribution, and interconnection projects • Support business development through proposal writing and client engagement • Translate complex technical results into clear, actionable value propositions for customers • Represent GE Vernova at regional forums and industry conferences • Contribute to technical papers and industry standard working groups

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electric Power Engineering • A minimum of seven (7) years of industry experience performing short-circuit, transient, steady-state, and dynamic power system analysis • Experience using ASPEN OneLiner, PSCAD/EMTDC, EMTP, PSS®E, TARA, PowerFactory, PSLF, or DSATools • Seven (7) years of experience applying Python, MATLAB, or FORTRAN to engineering problems • A Ph.D. in Electrical/Power Engineering with five (5) years of relevant industry experience may be substituted for the above requirements • Strong background in power system analysis • Solid understanding of inverter-based resource (IBR) control system design and application • Familiarity with RTO/ISO requirements, including PJM, CAISO, ERCOT, MISO, and SPP • Ability to travel up to 20% • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
