• Lead contract management for U.S. Government hydroelectric projects from bid preparation through execution, close-out, and warranty • Protect the company’s contractual and commercial position through contract administration, documentation, and change management • Drive project-specific contract strategies balancing risk mitigation, compliance, and business objectives • Manage contractual obligations, key notices, flow-down requirements, and entitlement positions throughout the contract lifecycle • Draft, review, and tailor commercial and contractual clauses • Negotiate and finalize proposals, contracts, amendments, and other contractual instruments with customers, partners, suppliers, and subcontractors • Advise project teams on contractual obligations, rights, remedies, and execution requirements • Interpret and administer U.S. Government contract requirements, including FAR and agency-specific clauses • Identify contractual compliance risks related to federal project execution, subcontracting structures, and customer requirements • Prepare, review, and administer representations, certifications, amendments, and contractual deliverables • Analyze contracts for risks, opportunities, deviations, assumptions, and commercial watchpoints • Develop and improve contract management plans • Partner with Project Management, Legal, Finance, Procurement, and commercial leadership • Prepare and manage notices, change documentation, amendments, requests for equitable adjustment, claims, and contractual submissions • Preserve entitlement positions and support strategies for delays, disruptions, variations, scope changes, and performance impacts • Coordinate claims and disputes with Legal and internal stakeholders • Manage bonds and insurance-related contractual matters • Assess and flow down prime contract obligations and regulatory clauses to suppliers and subcontractors • Maintain contractual records, correspondence logs, notice trackers, obligation trackers, and claim files • Support compliance reviews, audits, management reporting, and dispute resolution • Serve as primary contract management lead and provide strategic guidance to project leadership • Build relationships with customers, partners, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders • Manage correspondence and ensure reliable archiving and traceability • Escalate key contractual issues and drive timely resolution • Lead complex contractual negotiations and issue-resolution efforts in a matrix environment • Support less experienced contract management professionals and promote disciplined practices
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Law, Business, Finance, or a related technical field • Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in contract management within complex project environments such as Energy, EPC, Construction, Infrastructure, or large industrial projects • Demonstrated experience supporting U.S. Government contracts, government-funded programs, or projects subject to federal contractual frameworks • Strong working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) • Familiarity with agency-specific clauses and additional federal contracting requirements • Ability to compile, structure, draft, substantiate, and negotiate complex, high-value amendments, changes, and contractual submissions in compliance with U.S. Government contractual standards and requirements • Strong understanding of project financial aspects, including costs, margins, risks, opportunities, and commercial exposure • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English • Ability to analyze, structure, substantiate, and solve complex contractual and commercial issues • Proactive approach, strong sense of ownership, sound judgment, and willingness to drive improvements • Ability, if required, to satisfy applicable U.S. Government security clearance, compliance, or eligibility requirements • Familiarity with export control, documentation discipline, and regulated project environments is an asset where applicable • Ability to travel to project sites, customer meetings, and internal project reviews as required • Approximately 15–25% travel depending on project and customer needs • Strong and proven experience in turnkey (EPC) or similarly complex project delivery models preferred • Experience in hydropower, renewable energy, large infrastructure, or industrial project environments preferred • Ability to negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders in complex, high-value project settings preferred • Sound judgment regarding contractual and commercial risks preferred • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment preferred • Experience working within a complex matrix organization preferred • Ability to influence project teams and business stakeholders without direct authority preferred • Legally authorized to work in the United States
