📋 Description

• Lead the technology organization supporting Spruce, a customer-focused fintech and mobile banking product • Own the technology strategy, delivery roadmap, and desired outcomes for Spruce • Coordinate priorities, dependencies, risks, and delivery across multiple engineering squads, product managers, and business integrations • Partner with Product and Design to shape outcomes, clarify priorities, sequence work, and make trade-offs • Provide hands-on leadership for mobile engineering practices across native iOS and Android codebases • Ensure secure, resilient, compliant, and high-quality fintech experiences and production stability • Monitor and mitigate product, program, integration, vendor, security, compliance, and operational risks • Establish outcome-based plans, delivery health reporting, dependency management, and stakeholder communication • Build partnerships across business leadership, architecture, cybersecurity, compliance, operations, data, marketing, customer service, vendors, and technology teams • Lead, coach, and develop engineers and technical leaders • Maintain succession plans and make resourcing decisions based on required skills and capacity • Attract, retain, and grow diverse technical talent • Apply AI and agentic development approaches across discovery, product and design collaboration, engineering, testing, documentation, operations, and continuous improvement • Establish AI-enabled working agreements with attention to security, privacy, compliance, human review, quality, and measurable value • Manage budgets, vendors, contracts, and service performance as applicable

🎯 Requirements

• 8 years of progressive experience in technology, software engineering, product delivery, consulting, or a related field, including experience leading complex, mission-critical initiatives • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI-powered tools and agentic development practices • Proven ability to lead teams in the responsible adoption of AI and establish effective AI-enabled working practices • Demonstrated people leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, talent development, succession planning, workforce planning, and resourcing across multiple teams • Experience managing priorities and programs across multiple squads, product managers, stakeholders, and interdependent technology or business integrations • Experience delivering customer-facing digital products in a regulated, high-availability, or financially sensitive environment • Strong understanding of agile delivery, DevSecOps, automated testing, observability, reliability, and production support • Experience partnering with Product and Design in a squad trio model • Strong written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience • Preferred: experience with native iOS/Swift and Android/Kotlin applications • Preferred: experience with fintech, digital banking, payments, lending, savings, card, or other regulated financial applications • Preferred: experience managing financial technology integrations, processors, vendors, APIs, and enterprise capabilities • Preferred: experience introducing AI-assisted and agentic development practices at team scale • Preferred: experience leading mobile platform modernization • Preferred: experience managing program budgets, vendor relationships, contracts, and service levels
