📋 Description

• Embed with customers and partners to build, deploy, and troubleshoot Harper's platform in customer environments • Understand customer technical requirements, business objectives, and operational constraints • Build, configure, customize, integrate, and deploy solutions for unique customer workflows • Troubleshoot systems, data, integration, and operational issues during deployment and after go-live • Own customer outcomes end-to-end in ambiguous, fast-moving environments • Lead technical discussions with developers, architects, executive sponsors, and enterprise buyers • Support sales cycles through discovery, technical direction, and demonstrations of Harper's value • Advise customers on scalability, reliability, performance, security, and long-term operations • Write and ship production-quality code, scripts, APIs, and automation • Prototype custom functionality and deliver field-ready solutions • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to align custom solutions with platform direction • Enable and upskill system integrators and technology partners • Co-deliver strategic engagements and provide technical guidance and quality assurance • Build reusable delivery assets, reference architectures, and best practices • Gather customer insights and inform Product and Engineering roadmap decisions • Partner with Sales, Professional Services, and Customer Success across the customer lifecycle • Participate in post-engagement reviews, capture lessons learned, and mentor peers • Participate in on-call rotations and provide engineering expertise during incidents and escalations • Use AI coding assistants and agentic workflows to accelerate engineering, integration, and enablement tasks • Explain AI models, capabilities, limitations, cost/latency trade-offs, and architecture integration to customers

🎯 Requirements

• 8–10+ years of real-world experience, often including team or senior leadership • Deep enterprise experience with a consulting mindset • Experience owning client outcomes and navigating ambiguity • Genuine customer-facing and presales experience • Hands-on development background; ability to build, script, validate solutions, and use the terminal • Language-agnostic development foundation; prior Node.js experience is not required • Platform-first instincts • Fluency with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot • Working understanding of LLMs, RAG, embeddings, agents, and AI workflows • Ability to apply AI concepts in real technical work • Comfort with ambiguity, ownership, and fast-moving early-stage environments • Excellent communication skills with technical practitioners and business leaders • Willingness to participate in on-call rotations • Preferred: prior leadership or senior individual-contributor experience in an enterprise environment • Preferred: experience enabling and co-delivering with system integrators, channel, or technology partners • Preferred: hands-on experience with distributed systems, databases, APIs, and cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP • Preferred: experience with Harper or developer-focused/data infrastructure products • Nice to have: exposure to Node.js • Nice to have: familiarity with web performance and core web vitals
