📋 Description

• Manage preconstruction engineering activities to improve project delivery • Coordinate scheduling, estimating, bidding, design, and engineering activities • Oversee design-related tasks, including reviews, reports, studies, and construction administration • Participate in preconstruction and design meetings with owners, architects, and design professionals • Coordinate technical issue logs, cost and schedule trending, and materials and equipment procurement management • Prepare presentations, reports, meeting minutes, and construction team briefings • Support business development proposals and pursuits • Advance tools and IT solutions for preconstruction • Perform quantity studies, constructability studies, clash detection, reviews, and value engineering • Support design studio teams with design package preparation • Develop budgeting and report-out tools with project managers • Recommend preconstruction best practices and approaches • Support and drive prefabrication design efforts and constructability • Identify and resolve preconstruction issues and project risks • Track and communicate project scope, schedule impacts, change orders, and budget trends • Monitor and report the value of preconstruction activities and recommendations • Support project managers during construction with risk management, value engineering, estimation, and constructability reports • Coordinate with prefab shops, estimating, and scheduling teams • Collect lessons learned and maintain preconstruction and construction phase data • Develop preconstruction engineering skills and understanding across Harris • Demonstrate Harris culture, safety, collaboration, teamwork, and transparency • Perform additional assignments as directed by the supervisor

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred • 6+ years of industry knowledge of mechanical and plumbing • 4+ years of knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies and techniques, and construction contracts • 6+ years and proficient understanding of engineering and technology including principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment • 4+ years and previous success in delivering pre-construction engineering solutions • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and similar software tools
