Their facilities are located in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, with clinic hours from Monday to Friday and additional 24/7 call support.

📋 Description

• Initiate AR follow-up of all unpaid or denied claims with the appropriate Payer or Patient • Resolve delinquent accounts by proactively working outstanding accounts • Obtain missing claim information to ensure prompt payment • Research, appeal, and resolve claim rejections and denials with the appropriate Payer • Respond to written Payer communications with appropriate timely action • Respond to patient calls and emails regarding billing questions and issues • Update insurance and patient demographic information in the practice management system • Communicate payment or denial patterns affecting revenue to management • Document daily follow-up and patient-account communications in the practice management system • Process adjustments according to policies • Maintain knowledge of mental health billing, department policies, and procedures • Develop positive working relationships with cross-functional teams, teammates, Payor representatives, and stakeholders • Meet or exceed department productivity, quality, and performance standards • Collaborate to identify and resolve underpayments and overpayments • Mentor, train, educate, and support team members • Create training materials and policies as needed • Help maintain credentialing accuracy and updates • Perform other assigned duties • Report to the Director of Billing and Payer Relations

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of physician billing and accounts receivable experience in healthcare • Accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight turnaround times • Initiative, judgment, and decision-making skills • Intermediate computer skills • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, database management, and internet usage • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
