📋 Description

• Join Higharc's founding Forward Deployed team • Work embedded alongside a large production homebuilder to turn plans into actionable data • Embed with HQ, regional, and division teams for technical discovery • Profile plan assets, assess data quality, and reverse-engineer how drawing sets encode variation • Build and ship searchable plan libraries, analytics dashboards, and agent-enabled natural-language search • Own the pipeline from raw plan ingestion through structured, queryable output • Tune and extend Higharc's Autotranslate AI capabilities to identify, categorize, and translate floorplans into data • Write ETL, build against internal APIs, and ship working capabilities directly to users • Build geometric similarity scoring and classification models • Meet delivery milestones, coverage targets, data-field completeness, and QA error thresholds • Instrument and quantify catalog redundancy, dimensional spread, consolidation candidates, and purchasing leverage • Partner with Product, Technical Lead, QA, Intake Specialists, and Client Strategy • Present technical progress and tradeoffs to executive stakeholders • Turn one-off scripts and data patterns into reusable tooling for future engagements • Travel to client sites and company events up to 30% of the time

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering experience • Significant experience in customer-facing or deployed settings, such as forward deployed engineering, solutions engineering, technical consulting, or professional services • Strong hands-on data fluency, including SQL, scripting against APIs, and notebook use • Experience prototyping with tools such as Cursor, Replit, or V0.dev • Experience building structured data models, taxonomies, or classification schemes and deploying systems using them in production • Strong judgment about data quality and accuracy requirements • Excellent written and verbal communication • Willingness to travel to client sites and company events up to 30% of the time • A major plus: background in residential construction, homebuilding, architecture, or AEC technology • A major plus: experience with agent-based or natural-language search, RAG systems, or LLM-powered analytics • A major plus: exposure to geometric or spatial data, CAD/BIM, computer vision on drawings, similarity, or clustering methods • A major plus: experience with large, messy, enterprise-scale data migrations or ingestion programs • A major plus: experience building a function from zero • Must be able to work in the United States for a US-based role; application form asks about US visa sponsorship or renewal
