📋 Description

• Acquire new Charter, Private, and Parochial customers/partners for NWEA products and services • Increase NWEA’s leadership position in the assigned geography • Identify and build strategic relationships across Charter Management Organizations, Dioceses, private school networks, and schools • Develop and qualify leads and convert them into opportunities and closed sales • Create and own territory plans and strategies to penetrate and grow the assigned region • Prospect and close opportunities for MAP Growth, MAP Reading Fluency with Coach, Professional Development, and other HMH products and services • Collaborate with Marketing, Partner Support, Professional Learning, Proposals, Partner Accounts, NWEA, and HMH teams • Participate in and facilitate partner input into NWEA product strategies, design, timelines, and development • Mentor and coach fellow Account Executives as assigned • Serve as a liaison between partners and multiple NWEA divisions • Manage complex sales cycles involving multiple internal and external stakeholders • Maintain knowledge of NWEA products, services, the education market, laws, trends, and competition • Use a consultative sales process to inform partners about product and service features and benefits • Manage prospect opportunities and pipeline in Salesforce and maintain accurate data • Present pricing, credit, and terms according to procedures and contractual requirements • Process and schedule partner quotes and orders • Travel as required, averaging 25% • Perform other duties assigned to support the team and organization

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education, business, or a related field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Preferred 5+ years of field sales experience and selling to the educational market • Proven success generating qualified opportunities • Ability to move deals through the sales cycle, negotiate, and close deals • Proven record of sales success and ability to exceed personal and team goals • Ability to analyze and translate complex partner requirements into NWEA business offerings • Experience defining and evaluating deliverables, parameters, and language for partnerships, agreements, and contracts • Ability to inspire, unify, and work with cross-organizational teams • Experience applying sales methodologies such as Miller Heiman and Strategic Selling • Strong organizational skills • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills • Commitment to the NWEA mission and culture • Ability to manage sales relationships, pipelines, and opportunities in a CRM system; Salesforce experience preferred • Knowledge of the education market, school and business operations, and functions • Ability to conduct impactful conversations with senior school and district contacts and administrators • Diverse personal network of educators is a plus • Strategic focus in developing and executing territory plans • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals and independently • Ability to perform the physical and intellectual requirements of the role, with or without accommodation • Experience initiating, acquiring, and growing mid-sized and strategic accounts preferred • Experience with NWEA products, services, procedures, and implementation preferred • Deep understanding of the K–12 education industry and assessment methods • Average 25% travel required • Territory includes WA, OR, NV, UT, AZ, CO, MT, SD, NE, and OK
