📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain features in the core Python API • Design, build, and operate workflow orchestration for large-scale, long-running workloads • Build orchestration that scales across concurrent workflows with visibility into progress, failures, and throughput • Optimize and safely refactor complex SQL in production • Build and operate high-throughput data processing and ETL pipelines • Contribute to AWS datalake architecture, including storage layout, partitioning, schema evolution, and query performance • Deploy and manage services on Kubernetes • Participate in cluster operations, release management, and capacity planning • Develop and extend GraphQL and graph-based APIs • Own observability, uptime, and scalability, including metrics, tracing, alerting, and on-call participation • Partner with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver user-facing capabilities • Contribute to systems architecture decisions and write design documentation • Collaborate with frontend team members to present data clearly and improve user experience

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience using modern object-oriented or functional languages • Experience building and running workflow orchestration or distributed task-processing systems in production • Hands-on experience designing and building high-throughput data processing systems and ETL pipelines • Experience building applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes • Ability to own and manage concurrent initiatives • Reliability mindset for distributed work, including retries, partial failure, and recovery • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong technical writing for design docs, runbooks, and API documentation • Ability to collaborate effectively with designers, developers, and product managers • Only US persons can interview due to customer/vendor security clearance requirements • Must be eligible for and successfully secure a US Federal Security Clearance as a condition of employment
