📋 Description

• Oversee monitoring, maintenance, and configuration of diverse AWS-based systems and infrastructure • Collaborate with Huron industry leaders to construct new systems and uphold existing systems • Manage applications, documentation, and standard operating procedures • Configure AWS services with a focus on security and external firewall integration • Support Linux and Windows environments within AWS • Install, configure, deploy, upgrade, and fix software and applications • Automate deployment processes • Configure and implement cloud-security remediation actions • Explore emerging technologies and deliver solutions aligned with business requirements • Collaborate with vendors and IT professionals to resolve problems • Formulate firewall rules, diagnose firewall issues, and conduct peer reviews of firewall modifications • Manage Huron’s AWS Organization of over 100 sub-accounts using custom automation, Directory Services, IAM policies, AWS SSO, and SCPs • Manage multiple domains through Active Directory, Group Policy implementation, and scheduled tasks • Implement secure connectivity using Palo Alto and ASA firewalls, access lists, and site-to-site VPNs • Ensure connectivity between cloud environments and on-premises environments through site-to-site VPNs and Direct Connect • Oversee cross-account connectivity between network segments • Develop and implement cloud-security policies, procedures, and controls • Mentor and train fellow engineers on architecture best practices and problem-solving

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services, including EC2, VPC, S3, EBS, IAM, RDS, and CloudWatch • Experience designing and architecting serverless web applications using AWS Lambda and API Gateway • Experience architecting backup/restore and disaster recovery for AWS workloads and databases • Experience with AWS CLI, Python, and PowerShell scripts • Experience with Well-Architected Redshift, RDS, EC2 instances, and Application Load Balancers • Experience in cloud network architecture, VPN tunnels, VPC peering, and VPCs for different AWS accounts • Experience using and maintaining S3, EBS, EFS, SES, and SQS • Experience using Lambda and CloudFormation to deploy organization-wide policies and security measures • Experience architecting AWS networking configurations using VPC solutions, security groups, RAM, Direct Connect, and site-to-site VPN • Experience with SIEM tools such as Sumo Logic • Understanding of basic architectural principles for building on AWS Cloud • AWS Certified Solutions Architect and/or AWS Certified Security Specialty certification • Experience migrating on-premises applications and infrastructure to cloud environments • Proven experience designing and implementing secure cloud solutions in public, private, or hybrid cloud environments • Strong understanding of cloud-computing concepts, architectures, and technologies, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud • Proficiency in cloud-security best practices, encryption techniques, IAM, and network security • 3+ years of Palo Alto and firewall experience
