📋 Description

• Analyze complex business problems or opportunities and prepare detailed project-level specifications and estimates • Evaluate solution options and make buy-vs.-build recommendations to management • Communicate effectively with business and IS partners through verbal, written, electronic, and presentation formats • Create unit test plans and review junior staff members’ plans for completeness and thoroughness • Analyze application and system problems and incidents; develop, implement, and communicate recommendations and solutions • Identify, communicate, and implement departmental best practices • Build business literacy and understanding of business processes within the IS organization • Provide application and code expertise to development, testing, and business teams • Coordinate vendor solution delivery and partner with vendors to meet business needs and timelines • Provide direction and assistance to junior staff members • Support healthcare payer technology initiatives through QNXT solution design, development, testing, and implementation • Work with business, IT, and vendor partners to analyze needs, develop technical specifications, resolve issues, and deliver client-focused solutions

🎯 Requirements

• 5–7 years of QNXT development experience • Hands-on experience developing and supporting QNXT solutions across healthcare payer functions, including claims processing, member/provider data, benefits, and configuration-driven workflows • Strong experience with claims interfaces, claims conversions, and 837 inbound transactions within QNXT • Experience working with current QNXT integrated solutions • Strong technical communication skills, including translating business requirements into technical specifications, data mapping documents, interface designs, and development-ready requirements • Experience troubleshooting complex QNXT application, interface, transaction, and data issues, including root-cause analysis, defect resolution, and production support • Experience managing technical deliverables independently, including development estimates, build activities, testing support, defect remediation, deployment readiness, and status reporting • Experience developing, reviewing, and executing unit test plans, integration test scenarios, and validation activities • Working knowledge of healthcare payer transaction standards and data flows, including 837 inbound claims transactions, claims interfaces, claims conversions, and downstream system integrations • Experience with software development tools, such as Rational • Experience applying testing methodologies within major development languages • Experience with at least one major database system, such as DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, or Teradata • Significant experience with at least one development language or platform, such as COBOL, Java, Siebel, Pega, J-Caps, or Ab Initio • Experience partnering with vendors to support effective solution delivery • Ability to collaborate with business analysts, testers, architects, vendors, and junior developers • Ability to apply sound judgment in complex or difficult situations • Strong relationship management skills with vendors • Ability to manage and/or participate in projects while meeting deadlines and quality expectations • Self-directed with proven initiative and accountability • Strong problem-solving skills and continuous-learning orientation • Ability to conduct interviews or discovery sessions focused on fact-finding and requirements gathering • Ability to analyze factual data and develop clear, well-supported conclusions • Process- and logic-oriented, with a structured and analytical approach • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or mathematics, or an associate degree in computer science • U.S. Citizenship required • W2 hourly contract only; H-1B, C2C, and 1099 candidates not considered
