📋 Description

• Lead and oversee complex transmission line designs from conceptual engineering through final design, including EFM, conductor sizing, induction, impedance, losses, and voltage drop analysis • Provide senior-level technical expertise and direction to design staff • Perform conductor economic evaluations, lightning performance studies, grounding calculations, and electrical clearance determinations per NESC and applicable standards • Interpret and apply NERC, FERC, and regional regulatory standards • Prepare and review specifications, data sheets, RFQs, bid evaluations, vendor drawings, and purchase recommendations • Collaborate with project managers on scopes, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, construction support, and change order management • Perform and review QA/QC for engineering deliverables, production drawings, CAD outputs, and construction administration activities • Resolve design-related field issues • Conduct and lead field inspections, measurements, calculations, and installation reviews for public and private clients • Develop and present technical reports • Support marketing and business development efforts • Build relationships with clients and contractors • Mentor, lead, and guide less experienced engineers • Ensure cross-discipline communication and adherence to company safety, quality, and performance standards

🎯 Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or Power Engineering (or related field) • 8+ years of transmission line engineering experience (design, analysis, modeling, or similar) • 8+ years of experience working with an electric utility, EPC, or engineering consulting firm • 8+ years of experience working in PLS-CADD • People management and mentorship experience • Experience directing and reviewing the work of others for quality assurance and delivering constructive feedback • Ability to plan and manage assignments and clearly communicate barriers to complete tasks on budget/schedule • Knowledge of the practical application of industry standards such as NESC, IEEE, ANSI, FERC-881, and FAC-008 standards (preferred) • Initiative to embrace continuous learning toward becoming an expert on the programs and services you represent (preferred)
