📋 Description

• Design and ship data infrastructure for modern data platforms, scalable pipelines, and reporting layers • Architect and implement end-to-end data platforms • Build scalable, secure ingestion and transformation pipelines • Implement access controls, data governance, encryption, and auditability • Design durable data models for business, analytics, and AI consumption • Implement and operate streaming and real-time data pipelines • Scope client requirements and present architecture decisions • Walk stakeholders through technical tradeoffs • Work directly with the CEO and alongside a small senior team • Own project results and deliverables in a client-facing role

🎯 Requirements

• Significant experience building production data systems with senior-level ownership of architecture decisions • Deep understanding of modern data architecture and platforms • Production implementation experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks • Hands-on experience building scalable and secure data pipelines • Knowledge of orchestration and transformation frameworks such as dbt • Experience with cloud infrastructure on AWS or GCP • Knowledge of data modeling approaches including Kimball, star schema, Data Vault, and OBT • Experience implementing production streaming pipelines with Kafka, Flink, Redpanda, or similar • Ability to present architecture decisions and explain tradeoffs to business stakeholders • Business orientation and focus on results • Ability to work primarily Eastern Time hours • Must answer work sponsorship question for the United States
