📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack systems, with primary depth in backend services using TypeScript/Node.js and Python and contributions to React frontend applications • Develop and evolve APIs, services, and data models • Contribute to cloud infrastructure, reliability, and production readiness • Participate in technical design and architectural decisions for scalable, maintainable, resilient systems • Evaluate tradeoffs, surface risks, and translate direction into pragmatic technical approaches • Break complex initiatives into executable phases and implementation plans • Collaborate with product and leadership to refine ideas and deliver well-scoped releases • Own backlog grooming, workstream coordination, and coordination of technical contributions • Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and design collaboration • Establish engineering standards and lightweight processes, triage new problems, and structure uncertain work • Report to the VP, Innovation

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building and operating production software systems • Strong backend expertise in TypeScript (Node.js) and Python • Experience building and maintaining production-grade APIs and services • Working proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and React for frontend development • Experience designing and evolving production-grade APIs and service interfaces • Experience with relational databases and production data models • Experience building and operating systems in AWS or comparable cloud platforms • Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and architectural tradeoffs • Experience contributing to design and delivery decisions within small, high-ownership teams • Experience with, or willingness to learn, modern AI-assisted tools
