📋 Description

• Own multi-quarter integration workstreams end to end, from problem framing through design, implementation, rollout, and legacy-path deprecation • Drive technical direction by writing ERDs, proposing options, making trade-off decisions, and leading design reviews • Lead vendor and cross-team integrations with observability, fallback behavior, and cost/latency guardrails • Build reusable patterns, frameworks, templates, system-at-a-glance documentation, and migration runbooks • Perform hands-on senior individual-contributor work while raising design, code, observability, and operational quality • Mentor junior engineers and delegate implementation while retaining technical ownership • Partner with Connected Stores, Professional Services, Commerce, Search, Data Engineering, and ML teams

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of backend software engineering experience • Experience owning complex, multi-quarter projects end to end as a senior individual contributor • Ability to act as technical DRI for cross-team workstreams • Experience designing and shipping distributed systems and production integrations spanning multiple services, teams, or external partners • Strong proficiency with backend technologies such as Ruby/Rails, Python, Go, or similar • Experience with relational databases, distributed data systems, and cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP • Experience producing ERDs, design documents, runbooks, and reusable technical patterns • Ability to operate in ambiguous, high-growth environments • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
