📋 Description

• Build and ship agents hands-on while growing and leading a small engineering team • Set technical direction for architecture and technology stack • Build products from source across .NET Framework and .NET Core codebases • Prepare complete, verified deployment assets for each release • Own and execute production releases during scheduled off-hours windows • Deploy web applications on IIS, Windows Services, and SQL Server database changes • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for lower environments and production • Automate database deployments including schema changes, stored procedures, and data migrations • Support developers with branching strategy and local development improvements • Diagnose deployment-related issues across application, web, service, and database tiers • Partner with cloud engineering on infrastructure and environment improvements

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 2 years with direct responsibility for production deployments and the infrastructure they run on • Proven experience modernizing long-lived legacy systems and older frameworks • Hands-on experience building and deploying Microsoft .NET Framework and .NET Core applications • Comfort working in C# and VB.NET • Hands-on infrastructure experience configuring, deploying to, and troubleshooting Windows Server and IIS environments • Experience installing and upgrading Windows Services • AWS EC2 or equivalent cloud or virtualized environment experience • SQL Server deployment experience, including schema, stored procedures, and data migration scripts • Strong deployment scripting skills, particularly PowerShell • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or comparable platforms • Experience automating deployment to auto-scaled compute fleets built on machine images, including VM image builds, rolling instance replacement, health-check gated promotion, and rollback on failure • Availability to execute production releases during off-hours windows • Preferred: AWS experience with Windows workloads on EC2 and AMI pipelines • Preferred: Configuration management using Ansible, Packer, or similar technologies • Preferred: Familiarity with SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) and DACPAC deployments • Preferred: Experience operating in a SOC 2 environment • Preferred: Healthcare or other regulated-industry experience
