📋 Description

• Direct the technical aspects of the Transfer Explorer effort • Ensure the platform provides an excellent experience for data providers and student users • Empower and enable the engineering team to be productive • Lead design and implementation of Transfer Explorer, including the core platform and related R&D or discovery efforts • Manage a growing team of engineers, including goal setting and review, time and expense management, mentorship, staff development, performance management, and recruitment • Set the engineering team up for success while collaborating with designers, researchers, product managers, and project managers • Provide technical leadership for scalable and sustainable data processing pipelines and user experience, with security and observability in mind • Manage relationships with technical vendors, including DXtera, contracts, deliverables, and integrations • Explore and cultivate partnerships and collaborations • Participate in leadership teams, business and contingency planning, roadmapping, grant application and management, and new partnership exploration

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years experience developing and managing web-based software applications, including experience with cloud computing environments such as AWS • 3+ years experience and a proven affinity for managing and developing software engineers • Demonstrated ability to create technology driven solutions that are both innovative and feasible • Experience scaling solutions from prototype to scalable, sustainable infrastructure, and understanding when and how to invest varying levels of resilience and structure • Experience using agile development approaches, including lean-startup and design-thinking inspired methods incorporating short product development, business-hypothesis-driven experimentation, iterative product releases, and validated learning • Experience developing and architecting software spanning multiple components, including data pipelines • Excellent collaboration and communication skills • Must be able to work and reside in the continental United States • Must not require immigration sponsorship to work in the United States
