📋 Description

• Orchestrate supplier selection and part validation for Design, NPI, and Risk/Cost Reduction initiatives • Analyze situations and leverage Jabil’s Supply Chain and Sourcing organizations, tools, templates, and processes • Manage BOM pricing through design and mass production milestones • Resolve cost differences and supply chain impacts caused by BOM, design, and scope changes • Solicit and manage supplier Design for Manufacturability (DFM) recommendations • Interpret supplier feedback and guide product or process optimization • Manage supplier selection in alignment with commodity management • Lead supplier negotiations and risk mitigation • Guide direct reports and buyers in maintaining clean-to-build part status • Drive Early Supplier Involvement • Manage supply chain strategy and component/supplier qualification for assigned NPI projects • Manage DFM, FOT, PPAP, and APQP qualification processes • Optimize and minimize on-hand inventory with NPI buyers and suppliers • Lead supply chain projects for cost optimization, quality improvement, and supply assurance • Lead responses to short-term or high-risk quality issues, line-down constraints, and supplier negotiations • Build value propositions for Risk/Cost Reduction projects • Deliver Supply Chain and Sourcing work using Jabil templates, software solutions, and processes • Perform cost estimating for custom parts • Confirm components are qualified, validated, and ready for procurement before production handoff • Lead identification and deployment of Jabil process improvements • Interface directly with customers, suppliers, and executive stakeholders • Support multiple projects and customers and potentially manage direct reports • Follow safety, health, and company security procedures

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering and Design or Supply Chain • 12 years or more of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Advanced PC skills, with emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and communicate regarding common scientific and/or technical journals • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community • Ability to effectively present information to Senior Management and Customers • Ability to read and speak English • Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D drawings and identify key manufacturing information, including GD&T guidelines • Strong problem-solving, analytical, negotiation, project management, and people skills • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, summarize information, and draw valid conclusions • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume • Ability to solve practical problems with limited information • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule-based instructions • Ability to work effectively under pressure with constantly changing priorities and deadlines • Ability to sit, stand, walk regularly, and occasionally lift up to 15 lbs. • Ability to access the production floor and office staff and use required office equipment • Specific vision requirements include frequent reading of written documents and computer monitor screens • Willingness and ability to travel up to 40–50%
