📋 Description

• Track state-by-state law changes and draft and implement policy updates across employee classifications and pay ranges • Lead the annual compliance audit and handbook refresh from start to finish within the first 90 days • Handle escalated payroll, benefits, and leave questions • Review and unblock the work of Payroll and HR Administration team members • Rearchitect HR operations processes with an AI-native mindset • Grow into ownership of day-to-day HR operations management • Help manage increasingly complex HR operations as the company expands across states and employees

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline • At least 2 years of hands-on HR generalist experience • Genuine in-house, multi-state compliance experience • Hands-on experience drafting policies, entering payroll, and handling compliance filings • Comfort working with payroll, benefits, and compliance in a small, high-intensity team • Enthusiasm for building with AI • Must currently reside in an eligible location: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MA, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, or Ontario, Canada, subject to applicable full-time salary/hourly eligibility • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. or Canada
