📋 Description

• Supervise, mentor, and support payroll staff through training, guidance, and performance feedback • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for weekly, biweekly, and monthly payrolls • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including W-2 preparation and year-end tax reporting • Administer payroll systems, audit payroll cycles, and verify uploads to the general ledger • Research, analyze, and resolve payroll discrepancies, audit findings, and budget variances • Review payroll reports and respond to third-party payroll inquiries • Assist with workers’ compensation audits • Collaborate with Human Resources, Finance, and cross-functional teams on operational initiatives • Manage deadlines, shifting priorities, and confidential information • Hire, train, mentor, and develop payroll staff members • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field required • Six (6) or more years of multi-state payroll experience in a high-volume environment required • Four (4) or more years of supervisory experience preferred • An equivalent combination of education or experience may be accepted • Experience with Workday required • Experience with One Source Virtual (OSV) preferred • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred • Strong knowledge of payroll processing and accounting principles in a high-volume organization • Solid understanding of payroll regulations, tax requirements, and labor laws • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, and OSV • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills • Working knowledge of accounting and payroll processing principles and their impact on the general ledger • Basic knowledge of payroll mandates and labor-law regulations preferred
