📋 Description

• Develop assigned government proposals in accordance with RFPs and corporate requirements • Interpret complex client requirements and interact with clients and subordinates to prepare proposals, presentations, plans, and procedures • Coach and mentor employees on developing quality proposals, plans, and presentations • Maintain working relationships with Division Directors and Business Development personnel • Articulate win strategies with the proposal development team, VP of Operations, and Division Directors • Report to higher management in writing and orally; communicate with clients and contractor personnel; allocate resources • Write detailed technical proposals and formulate pricing for potential projects • Assess and communicate project risks and challenges • Ensure bid submissions are error-free, compliant, and meet quality standards • Analyze RFPs and build compliance matrices • Create storyboards, sectional outlines, and writing templates • Run capture and proposal meetings • Collect technical data, processes, and organizational approaches • Research and independently form solutions to operational requirements • Write bid content, including executive summaries, organization credentials, cost narratives, technical sections, and past performance volumes • Edit bids for accuracy, consistency, tone, style, and compliance • Work with a graphics specialist to create document visuals • Maintain regular and punctual attendance • Lead employees in proposal and capture-plan development and provide project direction • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant technical discipline or commensurate experience • Minimum of five (5) years of proposal management and capture management experience • Minimum of five (5) years of government project management experience • Experience capturing contracts for varied industries and government customers • Firm understanding of government service contracts and how to win and administer them • Must obtain and maintain necessary security access and/or background checks • Strong technical and management proposal writing skills • Ability to develop comprehensive plans, procedures, and work instructions • Ability to compose clear, concise, error-free, on-message text independently • Creative and analytical ability to create high-quality content from a blank sheet • Research and problem-solving ability • Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat skills, including complex tables, headers and footers, Word Styles, tables of contents, and professional document formatting • Detail-oriented and able to multitask across projects • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work with minimal oversight and prioritize workflow based on business priorities and deadlines • Full-time availability; additional hours may be required • Travel expected to be less than 25% • Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable under the company automobile insurance policy • Driving may be required for training or occasional local driving; expected driving time is less than 25%
