📋 Description

• Guide the architecture, development and evolution of Keeper Commander, including its SDKs, CLI tooling and developer automation capabilities • Own technical direction and execution across Keeper’s Python and .NET SDKs, Commander CLI and related developer automation capabilities • Remain hands-on in architecture, coding, debugging and design while guiding a small team of engineers • Work with Product, QA, Security and engineering teams to ensure Commander is secure, reliable, extensible and easy to integrate • Define and drive technical architecture and long-term direction • Design, build and maintain secure, scalable SDKs and developer tools across Python and .NET • Lead development of CLI features, APIs and integrations for enterprise administrators, developers and DevOps teams • Architect integrations with CI/CD platforms, cloud services, infrastructure automation tools and enterprise systems • Establish technical standards for SDK design, versioning, compatibility, error handling, testing and documentation • Write production code and troubleshoot complex features and issues • Lead architecture reviews, design discussions and technical decision-making • Partner with Product to translate customer needs and platform priorities into scalable solutions • Collaborate with Security and QA to strengthen secure coding, testing, reliability and release quality • Diagnose and resolve issues involving performance, concurrency, authentication, integrations and distributed workflows • Improve developer experience across APIs, documentation, examples, tooling and onboarding • Support and grow the open-source ecosystem through pull request reviews, issue triage, community engagement and documentation • Mentor engineers and raise engineering standards through code reviews and design feedback • Plan and sequence technical initiatives while balancing delivery, maintainability and technical debt • Evaluate technologies and patterns that improve SDK performance, security, extensibility and developer productivity • Use AI-assisted tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot or similar platforms for coding, debugging, research, testing and documentation

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant hands-on development with Python and .NET • Strong experience building SDKs, APIs, CLIs, developer tools, automation frameworks or platform integrations • Proven ability to design and evolve software architectures used by external developers or enterprise customers • Strong understanding of API design, backward compatibility, versioning and developer experience • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP and associated APIs and security services • Familiarity with DevOps and infrastructure automation tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible or Azure DevOps • Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, secrets management, encryption and secure software development • Experience designing and troubleshooting distributed or integration-heavy systems • Strong debugging skills across application, API, network and integration layers • Experience with automated testing, CI/CD and release engineering practices • Experience contributing to, maintaining or supporting open-source software • Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and influence technical direction without relying solely on formal authority • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly • Ability and willingness to use AI-assisted tools effectively for software development, debugging, research and documentation • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience • Due to this role’s involvement in GovCloud environments, qualified candidates must be a U.S. Person, defined as a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident • Preferred: Experience leading a small engineering team or serving as a technical lead • Preferred: Experience with secrets management, privileged access management, identity security or cybersecurity platforms • Preferred: Experience with Go, PowerShell or other automation-oriented languages • Preferred: Experience developing cross-platform software for Linux, Windows and macOS • Preferred: Familiarity with AWS KMS, Azure Key Vault, GCP Secret Manager or similar cloud security services • Preferred: Experience with package distribution, dependency management and SDK release workflows • Preferred: Contributions to widely used SDKs, CLI tools, developer platforms or DevOps automation projects • Preferred: Experience designing public APIs or developer-facing integration platforms
