📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain infrastructure and services powering Kohl’s applications • Create scalable, reliable, and secure platforms supporting Kohl’s business needs • Develop, test, deploy, and iteratively improve platform capabilities, features, and APIs • Collaborate with designers, product managers, end users, and platform engineers • Use experimentation, data, end-user feedback, and industry best practices to achieve business outcomes • Develop and integrate secure, usable, operable, resilient, observable platform services • Own technical aspects of the platform services lifecycle, including code, infrastructure, data, security, CI/CD, support, and documentation • Improve the platform user experience for development teams • Contribute to platform engineering and software standards • Develop self and support the development of others • Streamline development processes, improve system performance, and ensure high availability • Build and manage complex systems using cloud technologies, automation tools, and infrastructure-as-code practices • Optimize CI/CD pipelines and enhance monitoring and logging frameworks • Contribute to Kohl’s platform architecture and technical strategy • Perform additional assigned tasks

🎯 Requirements

• Experience with object-oriented development using Java, Go, or Python • Experience with Kubernetes, including distributions such as Red Hat OpenShift, Amazon EKS, Google GKE, or Tanzu TKG • Experience using Git daily for source code control and versioning • Background in software development and working knowledge of cloud computing concepts • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies or techniques quickly • Open-minded approaches to problem-solving centered around customer needs • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in MIS, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred) • 2+ years of experience in software or infrastructure platform development (preferred) • Knowledge of application design patterns, event-driven architecture, and testing strategies • Experience with major cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure • Knowledge and experience with continuous integration, continuous deployment, and test-driven development • Knowledge and experience with platform as code and GitOps methodologies • For the Platform Engineer (EUC) addendum: experience with device management tools such as Workspace ONE, Intune, or Jamf Pro • For the Platform Engineer (EUC) addendum: experience administering Windows, macOS, Android, or iOS at scale • For the Platform Engineer (EUC) addendum: general understanding of device security, networking, patch management, and application deployment
