📋 Description

• Develop, test, and maintain software controlling computer operating systems, hardware, and systems software • Troubleshoot and resolve complex systems issues • Ensure the security of computer systems • Collaborate with IT professionals to design and implement technology • Provide Mainframe operating system platform programming and program product support • Guide functional objectives on technologies and develop solutions to complex problems • Conduct root cause analysis discussions for supported products • Provide ongoing technical and operational guidance to professional work teams • Potentially manage departments nationally or internationally • Define objectives and manage resources for project success • Influence stakeholders outside the department or function

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in z/OS operating system installation, maintenance, configuration, and support • Experience with z/OS subsystems; JES2 experience is required • Experience with SMS and RACF/ACF2 • Experience with IBM program products • Experience with standard mainframe ISV/OEM software products, including BMC and Broadcom/CA • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills • Preferred: experience with TCP/IP, NetView/SysView, FTP, SFTP, Connect:Direct, VIPA, DVIPA, ideally in a complex GDPS environment • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred
