📋 Description

• Drive the design, architecture, and delivery of complex backend systems enabling 3D and computer vision experiences at scale • Lead development of mission-critical APIs, data pipelines, and services supporting high-traffic applications used globally • Partner with product and engineering leadership to define technical direction and plan foundational investments for scale and performance • Mentor senior engineers, conduct architecture reviews, and enable high-quality, high-velocity development across teams • Champion scalability, resiliency, observability, and maintainability of backend systems • Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning multiple teams and business stakeholders • Help shape the long-term technical vision and culture of the engineering organization • Influence hiring, onboarding, and growth strategies

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience building and operating scalable, reliable systems in production environments • Deep understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, networking, and databases • Proven experience designing and scaling distributed systems with focus on performance, observability, and fault tolerance • Strong architectural instincts and ability to make high-leverage technical decisions across multiple teams and systems • Demonstrated ability to influence and mentor senior engineers and elevate engineering practices • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-autonomy, product-driven environment • Strong experience with complex ETL flows and high-throughput systems highly preferred • Experience with e-commerce and catalog management preferred • Familiarity with Python, Django, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and AWS strongly preferred; analogous systems expertise and willingness to learn accepted
