• Support the FAA’s Environmental Occupational Safety and Health (EOSH) programs • Provide environmental and safety support across IAQ, Asbestos, Lead, PCB, Chemical/Hazardous Waste, Pesticide, Drinking Water, Fuel Storage Tank, Fall Protection, Hearing Safety, Electrical Safety, Confined Space, and Radiation programs • Conduct site inspections and surveys • Submit technical reports with findings and guidance to resolve or mitigate EOSH issues • Write reports under strict deadlines • Sample and interpret analytical reports and identify exceedances • Manage inspections using electronic data and online data storage • Use Microsoft programs and maintain information in KSN/SharePoint sites • Research and interpret Federal, State, Local, and FAA EOSH rules and regulations • Provide direct support and customer service to multi-level customers, including senior management • Provide technical EOSH training to employees • Complete tower safety inspections and support fall protection activities • Travel to customer sites, including Memphis, as requested
• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of prior relevant experience, or Master’s degree and relevant experience • Environmental, health and safety experience • Experience with EOSH field equipment, including PID, XRF, and Dosimeter • Experience obtaining and developing Asbestos samples and reports • Experience conducting and developing indoor air quality (IAQ) samples and reports • Technical competence in Fall Protection and Electrical Safety surveys and reports • Experience obtaining and developing Drinking Water samples and reports • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Microsoft Project • Ability to work with information stored in a Knowledge Sharing Network (KSN)/SharePoint sites • Reliable vehicle • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance • Must be located in the Fayetteville or Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina areas • Able to travel extensively, including overnight travel • Able to climb towers and/or receive and provide fall protection training and complete tower safety inspections • Able to provide comprehensive technical EOSH training • Strong customer service, problem-solving, independent-work, and cooperation skills
