📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain enterprise healthcare applications supporting the Department of Defense and Defense Health Agency • Develop new application functionality and enhance existing capabilities in a Salesforce Health Cloud environment • Implement system integrations and provide Tier 3 technical support • Participate in the full software development lifecycle with Salesforce administrators, solution architects, business analysts, cybersecurity personnel, and program stakeholders • Support patient engagement, care coordination, referral management, appointment scheduling, and contact center operations • Develop Salesforce functionality using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce Flow, SOQL, and Salesforce APIs • Configure and extend standard and custom objects, data relationships, business rules, automation, and user interfaces • Develop reusable components, Apex classes, triggers, asynchronous processes, and Lightning components • Design and maintain integrations with external enterprise systems, potentially including EHR, MuleSoft, Amazon Connect, and identity management platforms • Implement and troubleshoot REST/SOAP APIs, authentication, data transformations, error handling, and integration processes • Support healthcare interoperability requirements, including HL7 FHIR R4 and SMART on FHIR • Develop Apex unit tests, automated test cases, and integration testing procedures • Troubleshoot complex application defects, integration failures, and performance issues • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring software defects and production incidents • Participate in Agile development, code reviews, CI/CD processes, release planning, and production deployments • Collaborate with Salesforce administrators, developers, and QA personnel to test, document, and deploy application changes • Maintain technical documentation, application design specifications, integration diagrams, and deployment procedures • Ensure application development follows applicable DoD/DHA cybersecurity, privacy, and system authorization requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline and 4–8 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with 2–6 years of relevant experience • Equivalent experience may be considered in accordance with Leidos policies • At least 2 years of hands-on Salesforce application development experience • Experience developing Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, Salesforce Flow, and Salesforce APIs • Experience designing and implementing Salesforce custom objects, data relationships, application logic, and user interfaces • Experience developing, consuming, and troubleshooting REST-based APIs and enterprise application integrations • Experience writing Apex unit tests, troubleshooting software defects, and performing application debugging • Experience with Git-based version control, Agile development, software testing, and application deployment processes • Working knowledge of Salesforce security architecture, including permission sets, sharing rules, field-level security, and secure coding practices • Ability to independently analyze and resolve complex technical issues and evaluate the impact of proposed application changes • Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical documentation, and communication skills • Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, administrators, architects, and other technical stakeholders • Ability to meet applicable DoD/DHA personnel security and suitability requirements • Preferred: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I or II • Preferred: Salesforce Platform App Builder certification • Preferred experience with Salesforce Health Cloud, Service Cloud, or Experience Cloud • Preferred experience with Salesforce Government Cloud Plus or Government Cloud Plus – Defense environments • Preferred experience supporting DoD, DHA, VA, or other federal healthcare programs • Preferred experience developing healthcare applications involving patient engagement, care coordination, referral management, case management, and contact center operations • Preferred familiarity with HL7 FHIR R4 and SMART on FHIR • Preferred experience integrating Salesforce with Oracle Health/Cerner Millennium or comparable electronic health record systems • Preferred experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, Amazon Connect, Okta, or comparable enterprise technologies • Preferred familiarity with Salesforce OmniStudio, OmniScripts, Integration Procedures, and Data Mappers • Preferred experience with Salesforce DevOps tools, automated testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines • Preferred knowledge of HIPAA, FedRAMP, DoD RMF, and security requirements associated with DoD IL4/IL5 environments • Preferred experience supporting enterprise applications with scheduled software releases and formal configuration management processes
