📋 Description

• Join a team of AI-first engineers • Build and maintain backend services using TypeScript and Node.js • Integrate backend functionality with third-party APIs and external data services • Write clean, readable, and well-tested code • Use AI tools daily to streamline development, debugging, refactoring, and documentation workflows • Collaborate with engineers in a remote-first environment • Communicate progress, blockers, and risks proactively • Identify bugs, performance bottlenecks, and architectural risks early • Take ownership of identifying and solving technical issues

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on experience using Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex • Hands-on experience building at least one large-scale system from scratch • 5+ years of backend experience • 2+ years of Node.js experience • Experience building backend services with TypeScript and Node.js • Experience integrating third-party APIs and external data services • Experience using AI tools for development, debugging, refactoring, and documentation • Excellent communication skills • Comfort working asynchronously in a remote environment • Proactive, ownership-driven mindset • Ability to operate independently in a 100% operational role • Full-time availability through the end of the contract • Availability for meetings in Central Time with 2–3 hours of daily overlap • Experience working at an agency or for an external client
