📋 Description

• Own the royalty business-event process and reconcile recognized revenue to royaltable revenue across media types and accounting locations • Lead audit programs covering royalty calculations, AI usage restrictions, and licensor agreement compliance • Ensure royalty processes and controls meet SOX and internal audit requirements • Define royalty and compliance requirements for new product launches and international expansions • Partner with Content and Product teams on requirements, end-to-end testing, and sign-off • Monitor usage, pricing, and adoption of AI-enabled features and provide insight into cost, compliance, and commercial impact • Lead royalty workstreams within major system migrations, including legacy royalty platforms to PeopleSoft/Fusion, Salesforce CPQ, WAM, and PIM • Partner with technology and cross-functional project teams on testing, sign-off, and post-go-live monitoring • Provide commercial and royalty insight during licensor renegotiations and new licensing structures • Prepare business cases and financial analysis for content investment and commercial decisions • Lead and develop a team of financial analysts • Advise Business Unit finance leaders on royalty risk and opportunity and build cross-functional relationships

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, including royalty, licensing, or content-rights management • At least 2 years directly managing people • Experience with financial/ERP systems such as PeopleSoft, Oracle Fusion, or comparable royalty platforms • Strong analytical skills and ability to reconcile high transaction volumes and complex data across systems and currencies • Experience managing or developing a team • Excellent communication skills, with ability to tailor messaging for technical and business audiences • Comprehensive understanding of standards and practices within the discipline, with working knowledge of adjacent finance/accounting disciplines • Proven experience managing a team of professionals and/or junior managers, setting priorities, allocating resources, and delivering departmental plans • Accountability for team results, including budget and resource management • Strong business awareness and insight-generation skills • Ability to persuade and align stakeholders across the department and integrate within the wider division • Solid performance-management skills and growing experience coaching and developing talent • Experience in publishing, media, legal information, or another licensing-intensive industry preferred
