• Drive sales growth and long-term business relationships for diagnostic and genomic product lines • Develop account strategies, target key decision makers, and grow business across all product lines • Manage accounts in the assigned territory and execute sales activities • Build comprehensive business strategies to meet or exceed sales growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction goals • Travel to customers and cover an expected travel level of at least 50% • Develop strategic account plans to increase revenue and achieve targets • Present LGC corporate capabilities through presentations and educational seminars • Develop knowledge of LGC products and services and competitor offerings • Provide monthly, quarterly, and yearly business forecasts • Use sales, marketing, administrative, tracking, and expense tools, including SalesForce.com • Identify opportunities, prospect, qualify, and develop customer relationships • Share sales and account-management best practices and support team members • Work with internal and external resources to execute account strategies • Attend tradeshows as requested • Communicate timely and meaningfully with sales management, administration, and other departments
• Five plus years of experience selling IVD, biological, chemistry, immunoassay and/or clinical products into the in vitro diagnostic market required • Experience establishing partnerships with middle and senior level decision makers required • Good knowledge of Strategic and Consultative Selling • Excellent presentation skills required • Computer skills sufficient to organize customer data, pricing, proposals, and other key information • Proficiency with SalesForce.com and MS Office applications • Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective internal and external work in a matrix organization • Highly developed forecasting capabilities and ability to create accurate and timely reports • BA/BS degree in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology, Chemistry, Business, or related field • 3–5 years of direct technical sales experience; clinical diagnostic laboratory experience preferred • Confidentiality and discretion required • Ethical and professional conduct required at all times • Ability to learn and communicate technical product details • Exceptional customer service orientation and ability to identify customer needs • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and timelines • Critical thinking and information analysis, synthesis, and evaluation skills • Ability to facilitate cross-functional collaborative investigations • Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
