📋 Description

• Manage an assigned caseload of creditors' rights matters, including foreclosure, collections, bankruptcy, title, eviction, and related default servicing activities, from referral through resolution • Draft, review, and approve pleadings, motions, affidavits, notices, correspondence, and other legal documents • Provide legal oversight and guidance on foreclosure proceedings, collections litigation, and related creditors' rights matters • Appear at hearings, mediations, conferences, trials, and other court proceedings as required, in person or remotely depending on jurisdiction • Ensure case activity complies with federal and state laws, regulatory requirements, investor guidelines, and client servicing standards • Review legal strategy and assess case risks, escalations, and exceptions • Communicate case status, legal analysis, and recommendations to internal operations teams, firm leadership, and clients • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in case management systems • Support continuous improvement related to legal workflow, compliance, and client service delivery

🎯 Requirements

• Active law license in good standing in at least one covered state: New York, Pennsylvania, and/or Ohio • Multi-state admission strongly preferred • Experience in foreclosure, creditors' rights, litigation, mortgage default servicing, collections, or related practice areas preferred • Strong written communication and case management skills • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a remote environment • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school • Prior experience in creditors' rights, consumer debt collections, or civil litigation preferred; new admittees with strong litigation training will be considered • Working knowledge of the FDCPA and relevant state consumer protection and collections statutes • Comfort with high-volume caseloads and court e-filing systems • Strong legal research, writing, and courtroom advocacy skills • Must be authorized to work in the United States • Must complete the I-9 form and provide documentation of identity and work eligibility
