📋 Description

• Architect, develop, and optimize primary web applications and APIs driving global e-commerce and digital parent experiences • Create scalable CMS models and configuration systems that evolve with the product roadmap and expanding global audience • Partner with Product, Design, and Mobile teams to ship impactful customer-journey features • Own frontend-stack security, reliability, and performance for millions of parents • Evaluate vendors and platforms, including internal builds versus third-party integrations • Refine technical standards, development workflows, and team-wide best practices • Leverage AI coding tooling and AI-assisted workflows while maintaining engineering quality • Iterate on CI/CD pipelines and Vercel cloud infrastructure • Foster collaboration through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and commitment to the mission • Own and influence technical direction, tooling choices, and engineering standards for the e-commerce platform

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience • 5+ years of experience shipping modern web applications • Strong proficiency with Next.js, React, Typescript, etc. • Experience with API design and client/server responsibility best practices • Experience writing automated tests and working with CI/CD pipelines, including Jest, Playwright, Vitest, etc. • Some professional experience with CMS tools and strategy, including Contentful, Sanity, etc. • Some professional experience with A/B testing and analytics, including Optimizely, LaunchDarkly, Rudderstack, Amplitude, etc. • Some professional experience with Ruby on Rails, Python, or equivalent server-side programming languages • Familiarity with caching, static, and dynamic rendering modes in Next.js • Clear written and verbal communication; strong collaborator and self-starter • Background in consumer subscription or e-commerce platforms; Shopify preferred • Hands-on experience with Vercel infrastructure preferred as a nice-to-have • Proficiency in Swift, Java/Kotlin, or other client-side programming languages preferred as a nice-to-have • Strong understanding of the strengths and limitations of AI-assisted software development • Passion for early childhood development and empathy for parents as product users
