• Support patient retention and ongoing patient service communications • Place medication orders and coordinate chronic disease-state medications for home administration • Serve as a liaison among Regional Care Coordinators, patients, physician offices, referral sources, Intake, Pharmacy, and Reimbursement departments • Monitor patient services affecting quality, safety of care, and retention • Coordinate with reimbursement and pharmacy to ensure proper medication orders, timely delivery, care, and follow-through • Use phone, computer, and other communication devices, including assisting during patient emergencies when needed • Maintain accurate and timely patient records and notes in CPR+ • Receive and input patient referrals • Attend consumer group events and support sales-team physician visits or local/regional events as requested • Participate in biweekly specialty sales update calls • Maintain ongoing and minimum monthly patient contact • Generate new and refill patient orders • Provide delivery service when necessary and approved • Assist with alternative reimbursement-resource searches • Collect updated patient information, including statistics, allergies, health issues, and insurance changes • Track and confirm deliveries, obtain signatures, and document deliveries • Resolve delivery issues and support medication recalls • Improve processes and service quality • Communicate regularly with the direct supervisor • Comply with company policies, safety requirements, and HIPAA compliance standards
• HS diploma or GED required • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a high-volume call center environment required • High-level computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office Suite • College degree preferred, but not required • Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required • Health promotion/maintenance experience preferred, but not required • Excellent understanding of hemophilia, immune deficiency, IG-treated chronic disease states, and similar chronic disorders • Understanding of IG and hemophilia treatments and infusion administration methods • 3–5 years’ experience in the chronic disease/disorder community preferred • Strong customer service, interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills • Proficiency in programs necessary to execute the position • Ability to comply with legal, ethical, compliance, HIPAA, and company policies • Ability to occasionally stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift or move up to 25 pounds • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize competing demands, manage multiple tasks, and seek guidance when appropriate
