📋 Description

• Provide the full breadth of Child and Youth Behavioral counseling services to children of military service members and their families • Provide non-medical, short-term, solution-focused counseling at assigned primary and secondary locations • Conduct assessments, brief counseling, consultation, action planning, referrals, resource linkage, and follow-up • Provide consultation to parents, military personnel, schools, and installation command on behavioral health issues • Support DoDEA and community school staff and personnel, youth programs, and summer camps • Provide parent training and guidance • Deliver training and health and wellness presentations • Participate in health fairs and other installation activities focused on children and youth • Enter counselor activity data daily through smartphone or web application while maintaining confidentiality and anonymity • Establish relationships with community resources and provide appropriate linkages • Maintain visibility within schools and follow line-of-sight protocol • Partner with installation/facility Points of Contact to deliver CYB services • Manage duty-to-warn and restricted-reporting situations according to DoD protocol • Communicate with Regional Supervisors and participate in individual and group supervision • Respond to critical incidents and special requests • Flex schedule for urgent requests as needed • Participate in in-services, training, Quality Improvement committees, initiatives, studies, pilot programs, and other contract activities • Complete activity documentation and use applicable technology for required activities • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Must hold an independent license in any state such as LPC, LCSW, or LMFT • Master’s Degree from an accredited Graduate Program in a Mental Health related field • Valid unrestricted independent counseling license from a State, District of Columbia, US Territory or Commonwealth • Less than 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience • Intermediate-level competencies in Microsoft Suite, Internet navigation, Smartphone/Tablet and application navigation, and video-conferencing platforms • Ability to engage and communicate with military members or children and respond quickly to emergent situations in physical locations on military installations and/or within school settings • Ability to traverse short and/or long distances, including rugged, outdoor, uneven locations, stairs, grass, and steep inclines • May need current immunizations or vaccinations for specific assignments • Ability to prove US Citizenship and fluency in English • Understanding, sensitivity, and empathy for service members and their families • Ability to develop trusting, helping relationships and work with diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds • Pass NACI Clearance, Installation Records Check, Criminal Background Check, and FBI Fingerprints Check • Valid U.S. state vehicle operator’s license, unless waived by the FEDSIM COR • May be required to obtain a U.S. military vehicle operator’s permit for commercial sedans and similar vehicles • Meet Magellan MFLC CYB criteria for experience with children and youth and specialty in child and adolescent development/psychology • School-assigned counselors must have past work experience in a school setting • Current licensure meeting State, Commonwealth, or customer-specific requirements • Must be an independently licensed behavioral health clinician
