📋 Description

• Process on-cycle and off-cycle payroll adjustments accurately • Calculate gross-to-net impacts, taxes, and deductions for payroll adjustments • Enter, validate, and reconcile payroll changes before payroll close • Record and reconcile tips, service charges, and reimbursements • Apply taxable and non-taxable treatment according to federal and state rules • Partner with Finance and Customer Success to resolve discrepancies • Investigate and resolve W-2 suspensions and data mismatches • Review exception reports, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions • Document findings and maintain audit trails • Process electronic and scanned-mail employment verification requests • Maintain confidential records and protect personal information • Follow and improve payroll SOPs and suggest process and tooling enhancements • Communicate status, blockers, and updates via Slack • Coordinate cross-functionally to support smooth payroll cycles

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on experience using the company’s payroll platform (hard requirement) • 2+ years of U.S. payroll processing experience in an hourly, high-volume, or similar environment • Ability to calculate payroll adjustments, including tips and reimbursements • Working knowledge of W-2s, withholding, and taxable versus non-taxable reimbursements • Integrity and attention to detail when handling confidential information • Proficiency with payroll systems and spreadsheets, including data validation, lookups, and reconciliations • Familiarity with U.S. payroll rules and forms • Strong documentation habits • Comfort working in Slack • Problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and error-detection skills • Organized, deadline-driven, and reliable in high-volume environments • Clear professional written and verbal communication • Discretion with personally identifiable information (PII) • Computer with at least 8GB RAM and Intel i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 processor or higher • Internet speed of at least 40MBPS • Headset with extended noise-canceling microphone and webcam • Backup computer and internet connection • Quiet, dedicated workspace at home • Reliable internet connection • Availability for 40 hours per week, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM Pacific Time, Monday–Friday
