📋 Description

• Design and build platform capabilities across frontend, backend, and supporting infrastructure • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers on new and existing features • Treat the platform as a product by understanding customer needs and identifying friction points • Use KPIs, OKRs, North Star metrics, and empirical data to measure impact and drive improvements • Own features and services from design and implementation through deployment, monitoring, infrastructure, and production support • Improve the flow of work from idea to production • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code • Build and maintain APIs and integrate third-party services • Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging • Mentor engineers and contribute to their growth • Participate in architectural decisions and define technical standards and best practices • Stay current with emerging technologies and improve development processes • Pair with teammates across disciplines and learn workflows, tools, and deployment practices • Own smaller features or components end-to-end • Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and team decision-making • Improve systems, processes, and developer experience • Influence architecture, evolve the platform for scale, and support long-term technical planning • Establish patterns, processes, and documentation that strengthen engineering culture

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of full-stack engineering experience • Track record of building systems, driving engineering standards, and setting technical direction • Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud infrastructure • Understanding of application deployment, security, monitoring, and production operations • Experience with Terraform or another Infrastructure as Code tool • Understanding of IAM, compute, storage, and service-to-service communication • Experience building systems for internal stakeholders and external users • Experience with authentication, onboarding, or enablement features • Experience writing automated unit, integration, and/or end-to-end tests • Experience leading the design or delivery of meaningful systems • Startup or early-stage company experience, ideally as a founding engineer • Pragmatic approach to tools and technologies • Ability to explore alternatives and recommend improvements to systems and processes • Experience with Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, AWS, SQL/NoSQL, Postgres, Mongo, Timestream, Lambda, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, and React
