📋 Description

• Engineer, administer, maintain, and continuously improve Milliman’s infrastructure platforms • Provide guidance and implement system changes within data centers, network architecture, and enterprise platforms • Monitor infrastructure and network systems for misconfigurations • Improve system visibility, support timely remediation, and escalate concerns to appropriate teams • Administer and optimize firewall systems, web gateways, segmentation tools, and remote access technologies • Manage and troubleshoot firewall rule sets, ACLs, and policy changes • Implement and administer secure remote access systems, VPN options, and ZTNA capabilities • Implement vulnerability remediation, system hardening, and secure configuration baselines for operating systems, virtual machines, network devices, and other infrastructure components • Collaborate with GCS IT, GCS IS, practice IT teams, and application owners • Deliver secure-by-default system patterns without blocking delivery • Maintain infrastructure systems and assist with audit evidence gathering • Participate in control validation and risk assessments • Address remediation items and maintain infrastructure documentation related to security standards, system configurations, and operational procedures • Report to the GCS IT Manager of Infrastructure

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in network infrastructure, systems engineering, or a related security-focused role • 3+ years of hands-on experience securing enterprise infrastructure, including servers, data centers, firewalls, network controls, identity systems, and cloud-connected environments • Experience with proxy technologies, VPN options, secure remote access, and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions • Experience implementing, administering, troubleshooting, and optimizing firewall ACLs, access control solutions, and network proxy platforms • Experience with vulnerability management and remediation for Windows and/or Linux operating systems • Working knowledge of identity and access management principles, including least privilege, MFA, privileged access controls, and role-based access • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, verbal, and written skills • Ability to translate security risks into practical technical actions • Willingness to travel to data centers • Preferred: experience with system logging, EDR, orchestration and automation, IDS/IPS, and observability platforms such as Splunk, Grafana, or LogicMonitor • Preferred: understanding of security frameworks and standards • Preferred: experience with Cisco, Check Point, Fortinet, and Palo Alto firewalls • Preferred: ability to work evening and weekend hours as needed or directed • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future immigration support or sponsorship
