📋 Description

• Lead utility and interconnection strategy for complex customer opportunities, including large-load, utility-scale, and enterprise projects • Evaluate site-specific interconnection pathways, utility requirements, and market-participation implications • Identify material cost, schedule, and technical risks affecting project viability • Develop or coordinate alternative operating, engineering, and interconnection approaches • Support the transition toward larger 10 MW-plus opportunities and projects crossing ISO, transmission, or utility thresholds • Coordinate technical stakeholders on power systems behavior, controls, grid interaction, and compliance • Support utility, transmission, and relevant NERC readiness for large-scale projects • Design and improve repeatable interconnection workflows in Jira and related systems such as Procore • Replace manual and spreadsheet-based tracking with auditable workflow structures • Create reusable guidance, templates, and internal reference materials • Develop structured repositories for utility documents, links, meeting notes, and requirements using Google Workspace • Help define AI-assisted tools for reports and customer-facing outputs while maintaining human review and information-security guardrails • Serve as a strategic partner across Sales, Interconnection, PM, PE, Controls, and other teams • Translate technical and regulatory issues into decision-support language for commercial, delivery, and leadership stakeholders • Contribute to a scalable operating model for utility and interconnection support • Construct cutting-edge generator components and assemblies using mechanical expertise • Inspect test units and document findings for the engineering team • Implement improvements to enhance safety and efficiency

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of electric interconnection experience; gas interconnection is a plus • High degree of autonomy and experience scaling and automating programs • Experience with distributed generation, utility interconnection, and project development across utility-facing energy projects • Ability to support complex interconnection pathways involving market participation, utility studies, protection requirements, or transmission-scale considerations • Familiarity with larger-site or utility-scale project dynamics and higher megawatt thresholds • Working knowledge of utility, compliance, controls, and customer requirements on sophisticated projects • Experience designing or improving workflows, operating processes, templates, or systems that enable scale across teams • Strong written communication skills for customer-ready guidance, internal frameworks, and structured documentation • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without relying solely on formal authority • Comfort using workflow systems, structured knowledge repositories, and AI-assisted drafting tools within company policy boundaries • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
