📋 Description

• Work on electric utility aerial Make Ready projects • Perform field surveying, field notes, sketches, design, and construction drawings • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, senior designers, and drafters • Coordinate Make Ready project design, including bills of materials, clearance requests, permit applications, and equipment and labor units • Perform field inspections and evaluations of electrical systems for outside plant design • Produce design documentation including third-party attached clearances, pole loading analysis, and overhead primary and secondary distribution movements • Implement design modifications and process improvements • Apply client design standards to aerial pole lines, pole replacements, primary and secondary line or equipment moves, and telecom moves • Provide cost-causing analysis for existing violators • Perform post-construction inspections • Work under the supervision of a senior designer and/or engineer

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent related experience with the design of electrical distribution systems including OTMR, JU design & over lashing • FE experience with CREWS, SPANS, SAP systems and their specifications • Experience with Katapult or other pole loading software • 2 years of experience with AutoCAD in Telcom and distribution design engineering environment • 2 years of experience in the Power Distribution or Telcom industry • Familiarity with National Electric Code (NEC) and National Electric Safety Code (NESC) • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook • Regional travel required, as needed for the job • Current valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for up to the past 5 years • Ability to bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
