• Oversee the full lifecycle of prime grants and contracts from proposal development and negotiation through award management, compliance, reporting, and closeout • Lead award start-up activities, including review of terms, compliance requirements, deliverables, budgets, reporting schedules, and milestones • Serve as primary grants and contracts contact for assigned prime awards and coordinate with funders and internal stakeholders • Monitor award performance against scopes of work, budgets, timelines, milestones, and contractual obligations • Manage amendments, budget revisions, extensions, no-cost extensions, rebudgeting, and other award modifications • Coordinate financial, programmatic, and contractual reporting • Maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready award files • Interpret and operationalize sponsor regulations, award terms, organizational policies, and applicable requirements • Conduct or coordinate risk assessments and compliance reviews • Monitor subrecipient and subcontractor requirements under prime awards • Partner with finance, audit, legal, and compliance teams on findings, risks, and corrective actions • Develop and improve grants and contracts policies, procedures, tools, workflows, and standard operating procedures • Strengthen systems for tracking requirements, deliverables, deadlines, modifications, and compliance obligations • Identify opportunities to automate or streamline portfolio monitoring and reporting • Support implementation and optimization of grants management or ERP systems • Supervise and provide strategic direction, coaching, and professional development to the Associate Manager, Contracts and Compliance • Provide technical guidance and oversight for subaward development, risk assessment, negotiation, execution, monitoring, modifications, reporting, and closeout
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, finance, law, public health, healthcare administration, or a related field • Minimum of 8–10 years of progressively responsible experience in grants administration, contracts management, subaward administration, procurement, or a related field • Experience managing the lifecycle of complex contracts or subaward agreements in federally funded environments • Comprehensive knowledge of contracting principles • Strong working knowledge of Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200), Federal Acquisition Regulation, federal grant requirements, and procurement standards • Experience drafting, negotiating, administering, and closing out contracts, subawards, or similar funding instruments • Experience interpreting agreement terms and translating requirements into practical implementation steps • Strong project management, organizational, and documentation skills • Ability to manage multiple agreements and deadlines simultaneously • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Proficiency in MS Office Suite • Portuguese, French, or Spanish language proficiency is a plus
