📋 Description

• Administer medical, dental, vision, life, disability, flexible spending, and 401(k) benefit programs • Administer paid time off and leave-of-absence programs under FMLA and ADA guidelines • Develop, implement, and service company benefit programs • Provide front-line customer service and support for benefits • Reconcile monthly benefit-plan invoices against vendor invoices, internal records, and payroll deductions • Research and compile data for benefit surveys and reports • Assist with annual open enrollment, communications, planning, and vendor implementation • Maintain plan documents and administrative procedures • Coordinate and publish benefits information on the company intranet • Maintain compliance with ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, and other federal, state, and local regulations • Partner with payroll on benefits deductions and reporting • Assist managers and employees with leave eligibility and application processes • Review LOA, FMLA, and ADA requests and make recommendations regarding approval or denial • Maintain communications regarding expirations, late premium notices, leave programs, and Workers’ Compensation • Track leave and Workers’ Compensation timelines and return-to-work statuses • Calculate insurance payments due for separating employees, transfers, and employees on leave

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; master’s preferred • HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred • 5+ years of Human Resources experience • Strong knowledge of health and welfare plans, FMLA, ADA, LOA, HIPAA, ERISA, and payroll processes • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Leadership skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally • Strong customer service, organizational, and prioritizing skills • Employee and manager coaching • Must pass a substance abuse screen following an offer and before reporting to work • Must be able to work in a safety-sensitive position • Company does not employ medical marijuana cardholders
