📋 Description

• Process multi-state bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls for hourly and salaried employees by established deadlines • Calculate wages, tax withholding, and deductions, and validate submitted changes • Assist with balancing payroll accounts • Generate and distribute payroll reports to regional Finance leads • Process monthly bonus and commission payments • Audit employee time and labor data and resolve discrepancies with management • Balance and process garnishments according to regulatory requirements • Process stop-payment requests or pay cards • Respond to employee inquiries regarding paychecks, tax withholdings, deductions, leave accruals, direct deposit, and related concerns • Respond to payroll tickets daily and populate required ticket attributes • Provide wage information for unemployment claims and government-mandated surveys • Upload severance documents and ensure timely payment processing • Compile and process monthly union dues and union pension plan payments • Maintain confidentiality

🎯 Requirements

• Comprehensive understanding of federal and state tax laws, wage policies, and wage and hour laws • Data-driven and scientific-minded with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft products • Strong customer service skills with clear written and spoken communication • Ability to manage and prioritize responsibilities and work under pressure to meet departmental and regulatory deadlines • Ability to work collaboratively and autonomously • Experience multitasking in a deadline-driven environment • Adept with technology, including the full Google Suite • Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field or combined education and payroll equivalent experience • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) preferred • Minimum of two years processing multi-state payrolls • Direct experience with Workday and ADP preferred • Must reside in CO, FL, IL, MA, MN, OH, OK, PA, or TX • Must be willing to submit to and pass a full pre-employment background check
