Merit Medical Oncology is a division/specialty of Merit Medical Systems focused on devices and procedural solutions for oncologic interventions. It is part of Merit Medical Systems, a global manufacturer founded in 1987 that designs and markets proprietary disposable medical devices used in interventional, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures across cardiology, radiology, oncology, critical care and endoscopy. Merit Medical Oncology supports hospitals and physicians worldwide with products (e. g. , biopsy, embolotherapy, drainage, and other oncology-related interventional tools), clinician education and training, regulatory and product documentation, and global distribution and customer support.

đź“‹ Description

• Present and sell Merit medical products to new and existing accounts • Follow up with customers to confirm delivered products meet their needs • Conduct in-service presentations for clinicians on new products and their use • Maintain close client relationships and identify customer needs • Coordinate with marketing and sales staff to ensure timely and accurate product shipments • Provide customer feedback on product needs and possible innovations • Identify potential customers and introduce them to Merit products • Monitor customer satisfaction and identify improvement opportunities • Prepare customized drawings for custom kits or manifolds • Prepare and submit product pricing contracts • Identify opportunities to increase sales volume and profitability • Resolve manufacturing or delivery problems with clients • Make product-pricing decisions within approved authorization limits • Prepare monthly reports on sales results, contacts, product-change needs, and procedure improvements • Participate in sales training and planning meetings • Maintain knowledge of Merit and competitor products • Set and achieve sales performance goals • Travel by car, airplane, bus, and other transportation for sales duties • Perform other sales-related duties as required

🎯 Requirements

• Education and/or experience equivalent to a related Bachelor's Degree • Minimum of three years of direct sales experience, preferably selling medical products • Ability to communicate effectively with and understand the needs of others in a sales relationship • High degree of personal motivation and drive to achieve personal and professional goals • Excellent oral presentation skills and ability to think quickly when analyzing problems and explaining answers to medical technicians and clinicians • Ability to learn medical equipment usage and identify and explain possible improvements in usage • Ability to work effectively as a team member • Ability to utilize business mathematics to calculate percentages and prepare financial and sales information • Strong personal organization skills, including recording, reporting, and documenting work • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Ability to travel extensively and work long hours as required • Excellent driving record, with no driving accidents in the past three years or no more than one driving ticket in the last three years • Demonstrated computer skills, preferably spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and other applicable software programs • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. • Ability to perform duties involving exposure to blood or body fluids (Infectious Control Risk Category I)
