📋 Description

• Provide on-site and remote upgrades and troubleshooting of Motorola ASTRO systems • Provide technical support for specialized systems and product applications • Perform advanced troubleshooting of software-driven electronics • Provision communication system infrastructure and optimize RF and Broadband architecture • Maintain, optimize, test, and document complex communications systems • Troubleshoot IP networks and IT-type environments • Administer and troubleshoot server hardware/OS and software infrastructure • Install, configure, and maintain computer network systems, including cabling, routers, switches, firewalls, and bridges • Provide weekly reports of activities and accomplishments • Work with customers, subcontractors, sales, engineering, project management, and customer support teams • Travel internationally and domestically up to 75%–80% of the time

🎯 Requirements

• Basic knowledge of Motorola ASTRO technologies, including networking, cybersecurity principles, Active Directory Administration, and LMR Communications • Advanced knowledge of ASTRO core applications such as UNC, PM, UEM, ESXi, IMW, KMF, HBSS, and PKI • Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds • Demonstrated proficiency troubleshooting IP networks • Ability to administer and troubleshoot in an IT-type technical environment • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Google Suite applications • Strong self-management, interpersonal, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills • Very strong knowledge of wired communications systems, including LAN and WAN • Proficiency in computer network installation, configuration, and maintenance, including cabling, routers, switches, firewalls, and bridges • Ability to maintain and troubleshoot server hardware/OS and software infrastructure • U.S. citizenship required • Must be capable of obtaining an acceptable adjudication of DOD Secret (T-3) clearance within 18 months of initial employment • Must complete SF86 questionnaire and fingerprinting for national security positions • Must be willing to obtain CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification within the first 12 months of employment • At least 2 years of experience in IT, networking, technician, field service, system technician/specialist, radio frequency, or land mobile radio • Permanent residence within 60 miles or less of a mid- to large-class international airport • Ability to obtain or hold a U.S. Passport and International Drivers Permit • Ability to legally drive and rent a vehicle as needed • Willingness to travel internationally and domestically up to 75%–80% of the time
