📋 Description

• Design MSI enterprise data and data management within the MSI ecosystem • Partner with Solution Architects, DBAs, Business Intelligence teams, and product and business leaders • Design Lakehouses and Data Warehouses supporting expanding analytics needs • Contribute to the development of MSI’s data strategy • Implement a maintenance program aligning the operating environment with business needs • Continuously evaluate data architecture against evolving requirements • Align data requirements with new system and product designs • Design and implement data architectures supporting data integration, advanced analytics, and data science • Optimize data lake, data warehouse, and data orchestration processes and practices • Develop enterprise data migration and integration philosophies and plans • Document conceptual and logical data models • Collaborate with Business Intelligence on semi-structured and unstructured data designs • Own and manage data migration and integration initiatives between business operational systems • Contribute to data management processes and protocols • Assist with data security and backup processes and protocols • Optimize data-related functions

🎯 Requirements

• Ten or more years in data architecture and systems engineering, including ten years in a senior position responsible for owning corporate data security protocols • At least ten years managing data integrations across multiple platforms • Experience with cloud-based data architecture, databases, and orchestration tools • Knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Spark / Hadoop • Experience with PySpark and SparkSQL • Knowledge of semi-structured and unstructured data architectures and schema-on-read techniques • Deep experience with MS Azure SQL databases • Deep experience with MS Azure Environment, Microsoft Fabric, and services • Functional expertise with a major cloud-based database platform, including developing and maintaining code • Experience analyzing current environments and developing and implementing plans to optimize performance and user experience • Experience managing enterprise data in multiple unique and cloud-based environments • Detail-oriented and proactive in taking measures to avoid or mitigate issues • Basic understanding of project management philosophies • Ability to make decisions with the best interest of the firm and end-users in mind • Ability to demonstrate the firm’s core values and behavior aligned with the corporate culture • Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field required • Master’s degree preferred
